LOGGING ONTO THE NETWORK
FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Once registered, your account is activated.
You will then be able to log into the network and e-mail
systems.
- Proceed to any computer on campus. Enter your first
initial and entire last name in the field username.
Example: Marsha Brady's login would
be mbrady and John Wayne would be jwayne
- Select OK without entering a password.
- At this point you will be asked if you would like
to change your password. Select, yes.
- Enter a new password. It may contain letters or numbers
and must be five characters or longer.
- Remember your user name and then password you entered.
You will need them each time you log onto a computer at Pine
Technical College.
- To access e-mail, follow the Student/Staff e-mail
link at www.pinetech.edu and
follow the instructions.
Web Registration
All students must meet with an advisor
prior to registration. Remember to
have your STUDENT ID #, PIN/PASSWORD & REGISTRATION
ACCESS CODE ready. All of the above are given to you
by your advisor.
New students remember: Unless you
have permission from an advisor or counselor, you must complete
your application, assessment and orientation before you can
access the Web Registration Page. You may schedule these by
calling the Admissions Office at 1-800-521-7463.
Quick Reference
Go to PTC Home Page – www.pinetech.edu
- Click on CURRENT STUDENTS
- Click on STUDENT REGISTRATION
- Key in your STUDENT ID and PIN/PASSWORD
- Click on LOGIN NOW
- New students if asked to change PIN
- Key in old pin/password on first line
- Change last digit to next number up on second line
- Key in again on third line to verify
- Click CHANGE
- Click on REGISTRATION
- Check for correct YEAR/TERM – if not, double
click on semester shown and select correct one
- Click on SELECT
- In left column click on REGISTRATION ACCESS CODE
- Key in the ACCESS CODE from your advisor
- Click on SUBMIT
- In left column click on QUICK ADD (REGISTER)
- Key in the six digit COURSE ID # for each course (do not
need credits)
- Click on REGISTER NOW
- Verify Course ID # by entering PIN/PASSWORD
- Click on PROCESS REQUEST
- Print schedule
- Click on LOGOUT at top right of page

Tech ID and Pin Number:
- Go to PTC Home Page – www.pinetech.edu
- Click on CURRENT STUDENTS
- Click on STUDENT REGISTRATION
- Note the 3 tabs in the bar at the top of the page
- For Tech ID, click on LOOKUP ID
- Follow directions given – Tech ID will be e-mailed
to you.
- For PIN #, click on LOOKUP PIN/PASSWORD
- Follow directions given – Password will be e-mailed
to you.

Accounts:
- Repeat Steps 1-5 (from Quick Reference)
- Click on STUDENT
- Check for correct YEAR/TERM – if not, double
click on semester shown and select correct one
- Click on SELECT
- Click on MY ACCOUNT for Financial Accounts
- Click on LOGOUT at top right of page

Tuition Payment
Online:
- Go to PTC Home Page – www.pinetech.edu
- Click on CURRENT STUDENTS
- Click on STUDENT REGISTRATION
- Enter Student ID and PIN/Password and Submit
- Click on Student tab
- Select MY ACCOUNT from the menu on the left
- Click on TERM
- From the menu on the left click on PAY ONLINE
- Follow instructions in the beige box
- Payment accepted online with e-check, Visa, or MasterCard.
- Click on LOGOUT at top right of page

Sections:

- Click on REGISTRATION
- Check for correct YEAR/TERM – if not, double
click on semester shown and select correct one
- Click on SELECT
- Click on SEARCH FOR OPEN SECTIONS
- Follow Search Instructions
- Click on LOGOUT at top right of page
