Academic Skills Center
Tutoring Services
The Academic Skills Center (ASC) is located in the Learning Resource and Technology Center and offers tutoring services at no charge to students with academic needs. Tutors will be available during the scheduled times in the ASC (see schedule below). Appointments are taken for Math, Accounting and English. Tutors will assist when needed and help students gain the study skills required to be successful in class. All tutoring is provided by peer tutors -- students who have completed coursework in the designated academic area. Peer tutors are familiar with course content as well as instructors' styles of delivery.
Please come prepared to a tutor's session. Students should come to the tutoring session after they have attempted the homework. At that time, tutors will assist students with a problem or concept they are having difficulty with. All students are required to turn off phones and respect others in the ASC and the LRTC.
Academic Skills Center Hours
Tutoring will not be available during the Summer 2010 semester. Hours for Fall 2010 will be announced soon.
