Subject: Students and Customers First Policy

Purpose:
Pine Technical College exists for the purpose of educating and serving the
people of Minnesota. Its students, other clients and other major stakeholders
are its customers. Service to the customer must be foremost in all that Pine
Technical College does.
Policy:
All decision-making processes at Pine Technical College must include the
question, "How does this serve students and other customers?" In addition, we
must always ask ourselves, "How does this improve service to our students and
our other clients?" Finally, in order to insure that we are maintaining our
clientele as our first priority, we should always ask ourselves, " Is this
action taken for the benefit of students or does it work against the best
interest of students and other customers?"
Procedure:
1. Each deliberative body -- the Leadership, committees, task forces, senates --
will ask the above questions prior to making or voting on any decision.
