Step 1: Complete Application and Other Needed Documents

There are two options to complete an application for admissions:

1. Complete an online application form and pay the $20 application fee online; or,
   
2. Print the application and mail the completed copy, along with the $20 application fee, to:

1. Official copies of high school transcripts

2. Immunization records

3. Criminial History Background Check for Gunsmithing and Early Childhood Development applicants

Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid

You can read more about Financial Aid in the Financial Aid section of our website. You will need to complete the following two forms to apply for financial aid:

• Online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• PTC Online Financial Aid Application Form

Step 3: Transfer Credits into Pine Technical College

If you plan to transfer credits into Pine Technical College, please follow these steps.

1. Send official transcript to PTC from Previous College(s).
   
2. PTC copies the official transcript and gives to faculty advisors for review and evaluation.
   
3. Faculty advisors return transcript to Student Services to be entered on your DARS report (Degree Audit Report).

• Pine Technical College decides what credits transfer and whether those classes meet degree requirements.
  
• Advisors evaluating the courses to be transferred will look at course content and description to see if the class meets specified requirements.
  

Step 4: Complete an Academic Skills Assessment

The purpose of the Academic Skills Assessment is to assess students' entry-level academic skills and to provide options to strengthen them if appropriate. Students have a better chance for success in college if their basic skills are strong enough to meet the rigors of college-level classes.

Step 5: Complete Orientation/Registration

Step 6: Payment of Tuition

• Tuition is due the last business day prior to the start of each semester. You can pay at Pine Technical College, pay online through student registration (click here for directions on this process), or create a FACTS account to pay online. Follow the links below for more information.
