In an effort to provide higher education for all who seek it, Pine Technical College is an "open institution," meaning the college is open to admit all those who have earned a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). (Additional criteria may apply for certain programs; for example, passing a background check for acceptance into the Gunsmithing Technology program.)
Applicants who do not meet the college admission requirement of having a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) may be considered for admission to Pine Technical College under Ability to Benefit (ATB). (Students without a high school diploma or GED are not eligible to receive federal financial aid unless they meet established federal ATB guidelines through Accuplacer placement test scores.)
Applying is easier than you think and can be done any time up to the start of each semester. However, it is better to apply as early as possible to ease the process.
