Student Employment
About Student Employment
Work-Study is part-time employment to assist students with the financing of their education. Students can earn an hourly wage paid directly to them on a bi-weekly pay schedule. To be eligible for a work-study job, you must receive an award letter from Pine Technical College that lists either "Federal Work Study" or "MN Work Study."
All positions pay $8 per hour. You are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week or until your work-study award/allottment has been reached. Upon reaching your maximum work-study award, you may request additional work-study funds; however, if additional funds are not available, you will need to cease working at that time. For all student employment information and responsibilities, click here.
You are responsible for finding your own job. Browse the positions listed below to find a job that interests you. Contact the supervisor(s) directly to schedule an interview for your desired position. Please be aware not all supervisors/contacts are on campus during the summer months.
Once offered a position, stop by the Financial Aid Office, and complete a Work-Study Information Packet. The packet must be signed by your supervisor and returned with appropriate identification documentation to the Financial Aid Office to finalize your employment.
NOTE: Read each position description carefully to determine if the position is Open or Closed. Unless otherwise noted, all positions start at the beginning of Fall Semester. If you have general questions or concerns regarding work-study positions, e-mail financialaid@pinetech.edu or call 320-629-5161.
