Scholarships Offered by PTC and Friends or Partners of PTC

Bridging the Dream Scholarship

Bridging the Dream is a scholarship program established and funded by the Pine Technical College Foundation through donations and annual fundraising efforts. Any full-time student is eligible for a scholarship in the amount of $1,250. A part-time student is eligible for a scholarship in the amount of $500. MSCSA Leadership Scholarship

The Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA) Leadership Scholarship rewards emerging student leaders for their community service and their academic achievement. These scholarship winners serve their communities in many ways -- from mentoring, to organizing youth groups, to volunteering as translators, and more. PTC Foundation Endowment Scholarships

The PTC Foundation Endowment Scholarship Program was established and funded by the PTC Foundation through donations and fundraising efforts. The following scholarships are made available through the endowment program. To apply for any of the Endowment Scholarships, use this application. (Note: Only one application is required for the Bridging the Dream and Endowment Scholarships.)

Brenda HagE Memorial and Allied Health Scholarships

One $1200 and one $600 scholarship will be awarded to new or returning PTC nursing students. Both part-time and full-time PTC Nursing students are eligible for this scholarship.

Manufacturing Alliance Scholarships

Two $1300 scholarships will be awarded to new or returning PTC full-time students enrolled in an advanced manufacturing program.

PTC Foundation General Scholarships

Five $1250 General Scholarships will be awarded to new or returning PTC full-time or part-time students.

Stearns Bank Scholarships

Two $1,250 scholarships will be awarded to a new or returning PTC full-time student and one $500 scholarship will be awarded to a new or returning part-time student. Students eligible for these scholarships should qualify for a Pell Grant and preferably enrolled in a business-related program.

Trustee Emeritus Robert Erickson Part-Time Student Scholarship

PTC, on behalf of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, historically awards one student a Trustee Emeritus Robert Erickson Scholarship in the amount of $1,024 for an academic year. To be eligible, students must be a working adult, taking no more than 11 credits per semester. Information regarding applying for the next cycle will posted here soon - check back!

 

Scholarships Offered by Other Organizations

East Central Energy Scholarship

Historically, East Central Energy (ECE) awards two $1,000 scholarships to students planning to participate in approved post-secondary degree programs at PTC. These scholarships are available as the result of Capital Credits, which have remained unclaimed after several attempts to locate past members of the cooperative. ECE is excited to use this money for something as valuable as education. To be eligible student must be an ECE member of son or daughter of an ECE member and be enrolled at Pine Technical College for Fall 2013. Click here for the application. Great Lakes National Scholarship Program: STEM Scholarships

The Great Lakes National Scholarship Program awards scholarships in the amount of $2500 to students majoring in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) disciplines. Information regarding applying for the next cycle will posted here soon - check back!

Greater Minnesota Credit Union Scholarship

Our neighbors to the west of PTC's main campus, the Greater Minnesota Credit Union, offers a scholarship program. Applicants must be a GMCU member to apply, and non-members may open an account at GMCU to gain membership to be eligible to apply. For more information, contact GMCU directly.

HotelsCheap Scholarship Program

HotelsCheap offers a general scholarship totaling $2000 each fall and spring term for a student enrolled in a two-year, four-year, or graduate program. For more information including directions regarding how to apply and deadlines, visit the HotelsCheap Scholarship Program site directly.

Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship

The Jeanette Rankin Women's Scholarship is accepting applications for the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year. This national scholarship is available to women 35 and older, low-income, and pursuing a technical degree, an associate degree, or a baccalaureate degree. Marcella Arnold Nursing Scholarship

The Marcella Arnold Nursing Scholarship is designed to provide aid to nursing students in their final year of nursing school. Follow the previous link for the application and eligibility requirements.

SellUsedBooks.com Scholarship

SellUsedBooks.com is an online book and textbook buyback service that gives student the opportunity to ease the financial burden of college by selling back their used textbooks - including books the Campus Store may not buy back. SellUsedBook.com offers a College Essay Scholarship Contest in which they award $1000 to the winner. For more information, visit their contest page.

SFM Foundation Scholarship

The SFM Foundation is a non-profit organization created to administer a post-secondary education scholarship program to benefit children of workers disabled or fatally injured in work-related accidents. SWANA Minnesota Land of Lakes Chapter Scholarship

 The Minnesota Land of Lakes Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North American (SWANA) Scholarship Committee is seeking qualified candidates for the Floyd Forsberg Environmental Scholarship. The Floyd Forsberg Environmental Quality Scholarship is for the 2013-2014 avademic year beginning in Sept. 2013. For more information on this scholarship, click here.
