A.S. Degree in Health Sciences

Pine Technical College is proud to offer a comprehensive Associate of Science degree in health sciences. This 64-credit program can be completed in about two years’ time and includes focused coursework in health sciences alongside a range of well-paired general education courses.

The A.S. degree may stand alone, as its all-inclusive curriculum prepares graduates for work in the demanding and rewarding field of healthcare. Or, graduates of the program may choose to seamlessly transfer to one of Pine Technical College’s partner schools and pursue a more focused area of healthcare to study and earn additional certificates, diplomas or degrees in a chosen specialized area. Most, if not all, classes offered through the Pine Technical College A.S. degree program in health sciences are accepted and transfer across colleges and universities in the MnSCU system.

For example, partner schools include Winona State University, which offers bachelor degrees in exercise and rehabilitative sciences, athletic training and nursing; Anoka Ramsey Community College offers associate degrees in physical therapy and nursing; Century College offers programs in dental assisting, orthotic technology, prosthetic technology and many more; Lake Superior College offers specialized programs in diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, surgical technology and more; St. Cloud Technical College offers specialized programs in cardiovascular technology, dental hygiene and many more.

Pine Technical College has many unique partnerships with universities and colleges offering a variety of healthcare industry related programs that are convenient and flexible for the student. The programs listed above are just the beginning. Together, we can prepare you for nearly any career in healthcare!
