Early Childhood Development

Program Overview

The 2 + 2 Program in Early Childhood is a unique partnership between Pine Technical College and Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU).

You can earn a Bachelor of Science (B. S.) degree that prepares you to receive certification to teach preschool through third grade.

Students in the 2 + 2 Program first complete an Associate of Arts, Applied Science, or Science degree from Pine Technical College. The junior and senior years are completed by enrolling in a specific sequence of upper-division courses offered by SMSU. Courses are broadcasted to your home campus via Interactive television (ITV) and supplemented with hybrid, blended, and online courses.
