ACCP 1201 Business Law (3 credits)
Through the study of business law, students are made aware of their rights and responsibilities both as citizens and as productive members of our society. A student entering virtually any field of business must have a least a passing understanding of business law in order to function in the real world. This course is intended to introduce students to the fundamentals of the legal system and present them with some of the major areas of business law such as contracts, sales, commercial paper, agency and employment law, business organizations, property, and bailments. Other topics include the court system, criminal vs. tort law, transfer of title, warranties, product liability, agency and employment.
