This course introduces concepts of basic human needs, health/illness continuum, and basic nursing skills. It is designed to prepare the student in entry level positions as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility or in a hospital. It also serves as an introduction to the nursing sequence for students who decide to advance in the health professions. To be registered as a Nurse Assistant, students must take the Federal test out.
