HEOP 1210 Trained Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel (3 credits)
This course introduces students to concepts of drug therapy and to safe administration of prescribed medications. Included in the course is an overview of metric, apothecary, and household measurement abbreviations, with implications for use with medication administration. Knowledge of drug action related to body systems is emphasized, as well as observing effects of medications. Individual demonstration of medications is accomplished.
