Advanced Manufacturing Technology
Program Overview
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology - Computer Controlled Precision Manufacturing program prepares individuals to shape metal parts on conventional and CNC Lathes, Vertical Milling Machines and grinders. Students learn to make computations related to work dimensions, test using precision measuring instruments, machine and heat-treat various metals, and lay out machine parts. Students also will gain an introduction to CAD/CAM systems and CNC programming.

Tool List
Students within the Precision Machining and Manufacturing Program must acquire a comprehensive set of tools -- a requirement for the program. Since these tools are considered part of a student's required materials, financial aid covers the cost. Click here for the Tool List.
Manufacturing Technology - Prototype/Reverse Engineering
The Manufacturing Technology - Prototye/Reverse Engineering program is an additional certificate students may pursue after completing the above Diploma. The Manufacturing Technology - Prototye/Reverse Engineering certificate program builds on the skills developed in the Computer Controlled Precision Machining Diploma and is designed to provide the student with additional machining skills and training in the technologies of rapid prototyping and the reverse engineering of conceptualized parts and/or tooling. For more information about this advanced diploma, visit the Manufacturing Technology - Prototype/Reverse Engineering program page.
