Four-Year Degrees
Articulation Agreements
Take your A.A.S. or A.S. from Pine Technical College, and turn it into a bachelor degree! PTC has numerous transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities. Learn more about these agreements here. The following programs are conveniently available to students planning to complete their programs at PTC or online; students should know there are additional articulated programs available if they plan to move.
Business Administration at PTC to Management at Southwest Minnesota State University
The A.S. degree in Business Administration has several transfer/articulation agreements with four-year colleges or universities. Specifically, it transfers seamlessly into a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) which is offered entirely on the PTC campus or online. To plan ahead and take advantage of this seamless transfer opportunity, talk with SMSU Program Coordinator and Advisor Dr. Lori Wynia. Dr. Wynia regularly visits the PTC campus to advise students planning to transfer to SMSU to earn the bachelor's degree. Precision Manufacturing at PTC to Applied Engineering at Bemidji State University
Bemidji State University's Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Applied Engineering provides students with training to prepare for careers like Manufacturing Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Quality Engineer and Product Developer. With the PTC A.A.S. degree as a springboard, the B.A.S. program completes a student's training with upper-division applied engineering concepts and applications with special emphasis on materials, processes and design.
The arrangement with BSU allows a student to take their first two years at Pine Technical College, gaining an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Controlled Precision Manufacturing. After the A.A.S. degree is completed, students take their junior and senior years with BSU; however, all classes will be held at the Pine Technical College campus through distance education tools or offered completely online. For more information about the Bemidji State University BAS Degree in Applied Engineering, contact Dr. James McCracken at BSU: jmccracken@bemidiistate.edu, or contact the Center for Extended Learning at BSU: cel@bemidjistate.edu.
